In September, I came across a piece of news:
several Japanese performers were arrested for broadcasting on a foreign-based live streaming platform.
As someone who has also performed on similar platform, I couldn’t ignore it.
In Japan, there is a law called “Public Indecency” (Penal Code, Article 174).
For the first time, it was applied to streaming conducted via an overseas site.
It marked the moment when a boundary—once seen as “gray”—was clearly drawn.
If it’s been judged illegal,
then the answer is simple: just don’t do it.
I have no interest in playing games where the rule is “as long as you don’t get caught.”
I’ve enjoyed my time on CB—
exploring the joy of serendipitous connection, self-expression, and playful experimentation.
But no matter how personal my reasons may be,
if my actions are indistinguishable from those who crossed the line,
then all of it loses its meaning.
To be honest, I’m weary of today’s adult live chat landscape.
It feels less like expression, and more like systems built to manipulate dopamine—
offering short-term thrills while anchoring users in place.
I see deception. Emotional manipulation. Validation games…
Is that really the kind of performance we want?
I want to ask those who continue to watch performers,
even at the cost of putting them at risk of arrest:
Is that truly “support”?
If you really care about a performer,
isn’t there a better way to stand by them?
As for me—whether or not I’ll return to CB again,
that’s still undecided.
But one thing is clear:
I will not engage in illegal acts.
That is my choice—
and a reflection of the hope I hold for the future.
I want to create spaces where people can connect safely,
where mutual respect shapes our community.
If one day I return and light up the stream again,
I hope it will be filled with conversation, laughter, a game of chess—
and that magical groove of genuine inter-play we used to have.

9月、あるニュースが流れた。
某海外配信サイトの日本人配信者が逮捕されたという報せ。
近しいプラットフォームで配信してきた者として、他人事にはできなかった。
日本には「公然わいせつ罪」という法律がある。
それが、海外サイトを使った配信行為にも適用された。
これまで“グレー”とされていた境界線が、明確に引かれた瞬間だった。
もしそれが違法だとされたなら、
「やらなければいい」──それだけのこと。
見つからなければOK、そんなゲームに参加する気はない。
私は、CBという空間で「偶然性」と「表現」、「遊び」の実験を楽しんできた。
でもどんなに個人的な意味を込めていたとしても、
違法な行為と紙一重の振る舞いは、結果的にそのすべてを台無しにしてしまう。
今のアダルト系ライブチャットには、正直、うんざりしている。
人のドーパミンを操作して、短期的な興奮だけを繰り返させるようなシステム。
不正な演出、感情の操作、承認欲求ゲーム…… それって本当に「パフォーマンス」だろうか？
逮捕されるリスクを背負わせてまで見続けるユーザーたちに問いたい。
それは応援なんだろうか。
パフォーマーを好きだというなら、ほんとうは別のかたちで支えることだって、きっとできるはず。
今後、CBでの配信を再開するかはまだ決めていない。
どちらにしても、違法行為にあたる配信はしない。
それは私の選択で、わずかに残る希望の表明。
私は、安心してつながれる場をつくりたい。
互いに尊重しあえる関係性を選びたい。
もし再び、そこに灯りをともすことがあるとすれば、、
おしゃべりと笑いと、チェスのゲームと、
かつてあった魔法のような、交流のよろこびが戻っていますように。
そんな配信の在り方を肯定してくれた、ある友人に感謝をこめて。
